Guests never install anything. The upload page is a normal web page that opens in the phone's browser.
What a guest does
- Point the phone camera at the QR code and tap the link that pops up, or open the link from the group chat.
- The event page opens with the event name and an Upload button.
- Tap Upload, pick one photo or many from the camera roll, and optionally type a name so the host knows who sent them.
- Uploads run in the background with a progress bar. Guests can keep picking more while the first batch finishes.
What the host sees
Photos appear in Manage Event Gallery within seconds and on the live photo wall at the same time. The uploader's name, if given, is stored with each photo.
Limits guests may hit
- Each file must be under 10 MB. Phone photos are normally 2 to 6 MB; long videos are not.
- On a free or not-yet-activated event, the gallery stops at 100 photos and the guest sees a message asking the host to activate the event. See upload limits.
- Uploads open on the event date and close when the upload window ends.
Anonymous uploads
By default guests upload without creating anything. If you turn off Allow Anonymous Uploads under Settings, guests are asked to sign in first. Most hosts leave it on; every extra step costs photos.
