Both are fully browser-based: guests scan a QR code or tap a link, upload without installing an app or creating an account, and the host gets a shared gallery with a live slideshow. Both keep photos uncompressed. Both run private events by default. If you squint, the products look the same — which makes the differences unusually decisive.
There are four. EventPixel publishes its prices — $19, $39 and $69, one-time — while PixelParty's pricing page loads its numbers dynamically and its FAQ says only that plans are "priced by guest limits and selected features." EventPixel includes PixelFind AI face search from $39; no face search appears anywhere on PixelParty's site. EventPixel bundles a full wedding website with RSVP; PixelParty is a gallery product. And in the other direction: PixelParty accepts guest video uploads, which EventPixel does not.

The pricing transparency gap
This is the difference you will feel first. EventPixel's pricing page prints three numbers — $19, $39, $69 — and what each buys. PixelParty's pricing page, on the day we checked, rendered "Loading Prices…" in place of its plan table, and its FAQ describes plans only as "priced by guest limits and selected features," with quotes delivered inside the app.
We are not claiming PixelParty is expensive — we genuinely do not know what it costs, and that is the point. A price you can only discover after creating an account is a price you cannot comparison-shop. If PixelParty publishes a plan table, we will update this page with the real numbers, the same way we quote GuestPix's and Wedibox's exactly.
The guest-limit model matters separately: PixelParty prices by guest count, EventPixel never counts guests. For a big wedding, that is a structural difference, not a discount.
Where PixelParty is genuinely strong
- Guest video uploads. PixelParty accepts photos and videos on its plans; EventPixel is photos-only. If collecting guest-shot video matters to you, this is a real, decisive difference — the same concession we make in our GuestPix comparison.
- Optional moderation. Hosts can turn on an approval queue so uploads are reviewed before the gallery shows them. EventPixel deliberately has no queue — our events are private and invite-only, and we would rather the couple never babysit a dashboard during their own reception — but if pre-approval is a requirement for your event, PixelParty has the feature and we do not.
- Uncompressed photos. Genuine parity with EventPixel here, and worth crediting: both platforms return guests' photos without recompression, which much of this category does not.
- A disposable-camera mode for hosts who want the capped-shots experience as an option rather than the whole product.
Choose one honestly
Choose PixelParty if guest video is non-negotiable, you want an upload approval queue, or you like the disposable-camera mode as an option — and you are comfortable getting the price quote inside the app.
