How to use a wedding photo QR sign
Put one on every table, not one at the door. A single sign at the entrance is scanned by the first arrivals and forgotten. A sign per table gets scanned all night, because guests reach for their phones between courses and during speeches. Add one larger board where people queue with nothing to do, usually the bar.
Match the wedding, not the app. A plain black-and-white code on white card reads as an afterthought and gets ignored. That is why every design here has real typography and a colour scheme: the sign should look like part of the stationery.
Say it once from the microphone. One spoken line early in the reception, while everyone is seated, beats any amount of signage. "There's a QR code on your table, scan it and drop your photos in" is the whole announcement.
Test it on an old phone. If the printed sign scans on an eight-year-old Android with no accounts signed in, it will scan on everything. Do this before the day, not at the venue.

- Yes. Every design, every size and both download formats are free, with no account and no watermark beyond the footer line, which you can edit. It exists because a good sign is the thing that decides whether guests actually scan.
- What link should the QR code point to?
- Wherever you want guests to upload: an EventPixel gallery, a shared album link, a Google Drive folder, anything. Paste the full address including https://. If you do not have a link yet, create a free EventPixel event first and paste its QR link here.
- What size should I print a wedding photo QR sign?
- Five by seven inches is the standard table-sign size and fits every tabletop frame. Print US Letter or A4 for the welcome board or the bar, where guests read from further away. The QR code scales with the sheet, so it scans at any of the three.
- Will the QR code scan from a printed sign?
- Yes, as long as you print at the file's native size or larger. Every download is generated at 300 DPI or higher, and the QR modules are far wider than any printer artefact. Test with two phones before the wedding, one old and one new.
- PNG or PDF?
- PDF for a print shop, because it carries the exact sheet size. PNG for a home printer or a photo lab, because it opens directly with no scaling dialog. Both are the same artwork at the same resolution.
- Can I use these signs with an app other than EventPixel?
- Yes. The QR code encodes whatever link you paste. Change the footer line to whatever you like. We would rather you had a sign that works than one that advertises us.
