We collect information directly from you when you register for an account, create an event, or upload photos. This includes:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and billing information.
  • Event Data: Event names, dates, and locations you create within our platform.
  • User Content: Photos, videos, voice messages, and text submitted to event galleries.
  • Usage Data: Device information, IP address, browser type, and pages visited for analytics and security purposes.

3. Biometric Data & AI Face Recognition

EventPixel offers an optional AI-powered Face Recognition ("Selfie Finder") feature that allows guests to find their photos within an event gallery. In providing this feature:

  • Data Collected: When a guest uploads a selfie, facial geometry data (biometric data) is temporarily extracted solely to match the guest's likeness against photos in the event gallery.
  • Purpose Limitation: Biometric data is processed exclusively for the purpose of photo matching within that specific event gallery. It is not used for identification, profiling, or any other purpose.
  • No Third-Party Sharing: Biometric data derived from selfies is never shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party.
  • Retention & Deletion: Selfie images and extracted facial feature data are automatically deleted when the associated event gallery expires or is deleted by the event host, whichever occurs first. No biometric data is retained beyond this period.
  • Consent: Use of the Selfie Finder feature is entirely optional and requires affirmative action (selfie upload) by the guest, constituting informed and voluntary consent under the DPDP Act, 2023.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services.
  • Process transactions and manage your account and events.
  • Send transactional communications (e.g., payment receipts, account alerts).
  • Ensure security, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable laws.
  • Respond to support requests and enquiries.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted storage, secure HTTPS connections, and access controls. Your personal information is accessible only to authorised personnel who require it to deliver our services.

6. Third-Party Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your Personally Identifiable Information to third parties. We may share data with trusted service partners (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processors such as Razorpay) strictly for the purpose of delivering our service, under confidentiality obligations. All payment data is handled by Razorpay Software Private Limited and is subject to their privacy policy.

7. Your Rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

As a data principal under India's DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access and obtain a summary of your personal data processed by us.
  • Correct or update inaccurate personal data.
  • Request erasure of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis.
  • Nominate a person to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Event data (photos, messages, profiles) is retained for the duration of the event plan or until deleted by the event host. Upon account deletion, your data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
