How to upload your own photos and albums as the host

Add photographer photos, engagement shots or a pre-event album from the dashboard. Create separate albums and upload in bulk from a computer.

The gallery is not only for guest uploads. Hosts often add the professional photos when they arrive, or seed the gallery with engagement or rehearsal photos so it is not empty when the first guest scans.

Steps

  1. Open the event and, under More Event Actions, click Create an Album if you want the photos grouped separately (for example "Photographer" or "Rehearsal dinner"). Otherwise skip this.
  2. Click Upload to Album, choose the album, and drag files in or pick them from your computer.
  3. Leave the tab open until the progress bar completes.

Limits

The dashboard uploader accepts files up to 100 MB and optimises large images before storing them; the stored file must be under 10 MB like every other file in the event. Host uploads count towards the 100-photo cap on free events, so upgrade before adding a professional gallery.

Tips

  • Upload from a laptop on Wi-Fi for anything over a few hundred files.
  • Photos you add appear on the live photo wall too, which is a nice way to fill the screen during the drinks reception.
  • Guests can find themselves in your uploads with PixelFind exactly as with guest photos.
