Face search at an event raises fair questions. Here is exactly how PixelFind handles them.
The selfie
A guest's selfie is sent for matching and then discarded. It is not saved to the gallery, not shown to other guests, and not visible to the host.
Who can search
Guests must sign in before searching, and a signed-in guest can only search with their own selfie. There is no way to browse faces, search for a named person, or look up someone else.
What results include
Only photos that are already visible in that event's gallery. PixelFind never surfaces a photo a guest could not otherwise see by scrolling, and it never reaches across events.
Face indexing of uploaded photos
Photos uploaded to a PixelFind-enabled event are indexed for faces so that matching is fast. The index belongs to that event alone, and a deleted photo is removed from it.
Host controls
- Delete any photo from Manage Event Gallery; it leaves search results immediately.
- Hide the Find My Photos tab entirely under Manage Features if your event should not have face search.
- Add an Event Password so only invited guests reach the gallery at all.
Guest opt-out
A guest who does not want to appear in results can ask the host to remove specific photos. Because the host can see and delete every photo, that is a one-minute job.
