Steps
- Open the event link and go to the gallery.
- Tap Find My Photos next to All Photos.
- Sign in with email or Google. This is what stops anyone searching for someone else's face.
- Tap Take Quick Selfie and allow camera access, or Upload Selfie to use a photo from the camera roll.
- Wait a few seconds. The page shows how many photos it found.
- Tap individual photos to save them, or Download All My Photos for the whole set.
Selfie tips
- Face the camera directly, in good light, with only your face in the frame.
- Take off sunglasses. A hat is fine.
- If the event was formal and you are now in pyjamas, that is fine too; the match is on facial features, not clothes.
"No photos available"
Either photos have not been uploaded yet, or the ones with you in them are still being indexed. Indexing runs continuously and usually finishes within a few minutes of upload; try again shortly. During a live event, come back later in the evening.
"We couldn't detect a face in your selfie"
Retake in better light, closer to the camera.
Matches missed a photo I am in
Group shots taken from far away, faces in profile, or heavy motion blur can fall below the match threshold. Try a second selfie from a slightly different angle.
