The screen goes to sleep

The wall asks the browser to keep the screen awake, but a laptop's power settings can override that. Set the laptop to never sleep while plugged in, and turn off the screensaver. On a TV, disable any auto-off or eco timer for the evening.

New photos do not appear

  1. Check the screen device has internet. Open any other site on it.
  2. Reload the wall page. If the connection dropped for a while the live feed reconnects on reload.
  3. Check the photo actually uploaded: it should be in Manage Event Gallery. If it is not, it is an upload problem, see a guest cannot upload.

Black screen or a small window on the TV

Put the browser in full screen (F11 on Windows, Ctrl+Cmd+F on Mac). On a projector, match the laptop's resolution to the projector's native resolution in display settings so the wall is not letterboxed.

The TV's built-in browser is slow or crashes

Some TV browsers struggle with a large gallery. Use a laptop or a Fire TV Stick instead; both are in show the wall on a TV.

The wall shows old test photos

Delete them from Manage Event Gallery; the wall updates immediately.

Test the night before

Ten minutes with the actual TV and cable at the venue saves you from finding out about an HDMI adapter at 7 pm on the day.
